The LaGrange Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) was formed in the spring of 2005 to oversee the development of approximately 40 acres of land co-owned by the Village of LaGrange and the LaGrange Township Trustees. The location of the new Keystone High School created the opportunity for local government to construct a street through the 40 acres and provide access to the high school.
With no advertising, numerous businesses contacted the CIC about locating in our new “Business Park”. The CIC was fortunate enough to receive Community Block Grant funds to aid in the construction of the new road, tentatively called “Opportunity Way”. We have currently sold property to a nursing home, a software distributor, and Community Healthcare Partners. We have also accepted a purchase agreement with a daycare center. The Village and Township are retaining acreage at the entrance to the street as a site for a future municipal center.
Special "Transitional Use" zoning has been created for this land and specific “Covenants and Restrictions” have been put in place. These can be downloaded below:
